The Harris County Sheriff’s Office has introduced Project Lifesaver, an innovative program designed to support families and caregivers of individuals prone to wandering due to cognitive disorders such as Autism, Alzheimer’s, and Dementia. The program equips individuals with a small arm bracelet that emits a radio frequency, allowing HCSO deputies to quickly locate and safely return them if they go missing.
